News | Provenance supports #KeepItReal campaign to tackle disinformation

03 December 2020 13:02

Provenance is pleased to support a new Irish-based campaign on disinformation and freedom of expression. Young activists from all over Ireland have teamed up with the international NGO ARTICLE 19 to spearhead debate on disinformation, freedom of expression, and social media regulation.

The #KeepItReal campaign aims to empower young adults in Ireland to articulate their views on how to counter disinformation and protect their right to free speech. A group of 17 ambassadors from across the country will lead a discussion among their peers about how a pluralistic and tolerant society – one that listens to different perspectives, encourages dialogue and treats people equally – should respond to the issues of disinformation and regulation of social media.
